I purchased a small sofa for $475 at Mattress Outlet in Greenfield. They delivered at the end of the day. That evening the sofa smelled bad but I thought it just needed to ‘air-out’. Well, after a week the sofa still smells! It smells like ‘formaldehyde’ and ‘particle board glue’. It’s a cheap piece of junk furniture, defective furniture. The smell is so bad I’ve covered the sofa with plastic, to keep the odor and smell down. I’ve been back to Mattress Outlet 4 times and the owner would not help me. The own told me to put bowls of baking soda on the sofa to absorb the smell! The owner told me I would have to deal with the furniture manufacture myself; Mattress Outlet would not take back the defective product.
