I wish anyone receiving medical treatments and advice from an establishment that doesn't even look through their patient charts prior to providing care, the best of luck.
Every time I go, there is an hour wait to see the doctor and they are clearly disorganized, but that isn't what finally made me leave the practice.
The wait time is by far the worst. Waiting an hour from the time you check in to see the doctor is crazy. I just cancelled my follow-up appointment. The person I talk to says that usually happens when there's some form of an emergency Isis that's not what was the case that day I was the emergency. I had a slip and fall with concussion on ice. They had us waiting in the examination room for over half hour.
Thank you all at VMG.
A great group of helpful people. I love how they have on site lab, radiology, pharmacy and physical therapy. And probably other services I'm not aware of yet! I'm always in contact with my doctor. And she gets back to me quicker than any other office I've been to. I'm always recommending VMG
I don’t recommend this practice for complex conditions.
I have referred two people to VMG who have also been quite pleased with their treatment. I will continue to do so in future.
I am sorry to read about the problems some of you have had with the practice. I have lived all over the country, big cities and small towns, and have never received the wonderful level of care I experience here. I have been with this practice for 6 1/2 years and have received prompt and respectful treatment. During this time, staff (both clinical and administrative) have gone above and beyond their usual routines to help me. When my mother was alive I was her caretaker and she was with this practice as well. Not only did she receive great treatment, but I was supported as well during some very difficult times.
This is a huge practice that is experiencing growing pains. The ownership of patient treatment is fuzzy. In my own care I have been dismissed by providers and staff that another person is better suited to solve my problem, followed by the Valley Medical Group representative returning to a personal conversation!
Last time I was in with my child, they insisted that we were due for our last round of vaccines. I was certain we had already received them and asked them to please double check the chart. They absolutely assured me that those shots were due. We bring in our child for the vaccine and then find out two days later through our school, that I was correct. We had already received them. Valley Medical simply did not look through our charts at all. On top of it, they told my six year old after they gave the vx, that we wouldn't need anymore shots until twelve! So now my kid thinks they won't need another shot until that age, which is false.
This isn't the first time they've neglected to look through my families' charts either. It was just the first time it wasn't caught, despite repeated requests from me asking for the information they were supposedly looking through. All the other hang ups I've had with them until this point, didn't even warrant the time to post about, since I think those problems will be found in offices most anywhere. This however, combined with similar experiences other patients have mentioned, crosses the line.
They have many more issues over there, but not looking through the charts at all ( I asked on three separate occasions, I was pretty sure I was recalling correctly...should have trusted my instinct, but instead, I TRUSTED THEM ) seems pretty egregious for a doctors office.
