When I suggested that the new glasses should be checked with an eye chart before the patient left the office, I was flippantly assured that this always happens by the principal ophthalmologist. This was not the case.
I will seek another supplier.

Very disappointed in how you handled the transition of taking over DR Mateik's office in Winchendon. After 52 years of having Dr Mateik for our eye doctor my husband and I feel like we have just been dumped with no plan for future care of our eyes. Can't even seem to be able to get our records transferred to a new eye doctor's office at Dartmouth Hicthcock in Keene NH. Ironic how a small office in Winchendon, Mass can be so efficient until your large organization took over and no one seems to know anything or be able to handle transferring records to another eye doctor. And on top of that you want to charge us for our own records that you don't seem to even know if you have them! Sooo frustrated and disappointed!
I will not be returning to your office. I ordered two pair of glasses on my last visit. One pair had the right lens that was totally unrelated to my needs. I was fitted with these new glasses without anyone checking that my vision needs were met. When the correct lens was finally ready to be fitted into the frame, the lens was scratched and so the lens had to be replaced again.
Horribly long wait times.
I have always been very satisfied with this whole practice. My experience with Dr. Alfred for cataract surgery has been outstanding.
