I had a appointment for cataract surgery. A retired opthamologist friend suggested eye drops for the Fuchs. I did that and I see much better at night. I cancelled the surgery.
This was the worst experience I had with an eye doctor. The wait was tremendously long - about an hour and a half for only about 5 minutes of Dr. Frangie's time. He didn't even diagnose my pterygium saying it was a scratch from wearing contact lenses which I have only tried a few times over 15 years ago. Seriously, it felt like he just goes though patients like numbers without really paying attention to them. Also, the front desk staff was not pleasant at all. Overall, the experience was terrible and I do not recommend this place or this doctor to anyone.
He said besides cataracts, I had Fuchs Corneal Dystrophy.
His webpage says he does botox, which seems odd for an eye doctor. I asked him about it. He said botox was invented by an eye doctor. If garbage disposals had been invented by an eye doctor, would he sell them?
I had a very positive experience here.I came with a serious impact injury, which not only gave me a cataract but also damaged the tiny filaments that hold my lens I place. Dr.Frangie acknowledged the difficulty in repairing it.He even gave me the option of going to another place that sees more of this type of injury I was confident in him and he did a great job. He was quite happy that my 20/20 vision was restored and I am ecstatic. He exhibited a confident, yet comforting attitude. The staff was always kind, prompt and professional and always wanted to help me. Thank you for a very good experience with this very unsettling injury.
I had a 2:15 appointment so I could meet some people at 5. Took a long time before I was seen. Well, I got out a few minutes before 5. I'd had my eyes dilated and when I got outside, I couldn't see well. I had a bike on top of my car and I thought it was stolen. I thought I had some of those dark glasses they give you after an exam in my car, but I did not. Went back to the office and they gave me a pair, but I feel they should have given them to me without asking.
