In the midst of a renovation (that included the laundry area), it became all too obvious a new washer and dryer were needed (especially since the washer blew water all over the place in the midst and as if on cue). Before defaulting to the local big box store, I asked my contractor what the best place to get these appliances was. He looked at me and said (as if it should be obvious), "Manny's." I'm really glad I asked because this turned out to be the perfect solution for me. I very much like dealing with small local businesses where I actually can get the assistance I need from knowledgable people who still will be the ones working there should I need to come back and talk with someone in the weeks and months ahead. Also, it turned out I could get my service contract with them too; so, should anything go wrong, service will be handed locally. When I purchased, there was a glitch with my delivery, not due the excellent delivery guys but, after unpacking, it was discovered that one of the items had a dent that wasn't visible until it was unpacked. This unit was replaced immediately and the w/d have been fantastic; (It's going on a year now that I've had them and I love them). Manny's staff helped me with the rebate paperwork too and were very friendly, patient and helpful in dealing with my many questions. I purchased Maytag washer, dryer and pedestals and, bonus, got them on sale, too. The prices they offered were better than anywhere else I checked. It is coming on time for me to get another new appliance too and I know where I'll be buying it.
I’ve been going to them for about 10 years for my apartments and I’ll continue to let them earn my business. Almost every time I go in I walk out more loyal and relieved I’ve taken another appliance problem off the list.
I have been going to Manny's since before it was even called that. We are so lucky that we still have a locally owned appliance store and I always make point to buy all of my appliances there. Many of the sales people have been there for a long time and they are consistently friendly and seem very knowledgeable. Manny's selection is quite a bit more extensive than our local "big box" and has a better range of price points. I highly recommend them.
Susan was very professional, helpful, and friendly. She knew the product lines (washers and dryers) well and provided insight, as well as her preferences, into the pros and cons of each manufacturer. This was extremely helpful to us in making our informed decision. We never felt that she exerted any pressure to buy. We have done business with this company for many years and it is our intention to continue to do so. Susan and Jim are part of the reasons.
You’d think they’d be more expensive compared to their big-box neighbor but often they are at a similar or better price without a 3 week wait. I’ve always found the people there truly pleasurable to talk to. There is never pressure, nor side-eye for coming in with work clothes at 4:30, but always an honest attempt to do what they can to solve the problem.
